All this talk is nice but, why do we Canadians have to pay $4000.00 more for this rig then our friends in the US?? The exchange rate is around 18 % right now, so WTF???
Because you live in canada Eh? Don't know know there is a 2,000 Canadian recreational vehicle Luxery tax?

It coiuld have something to do with import tarriffs aswell.> Im not real sure how the exchange of goods goes..
I don't think so. NAFTA would take care of that. As for the luxery tax, this is a Polaris, not a Porsha??.
Hmm them why the 40% tarriff? Can-am being canadian does the same thing.. The canadian government must get a cut

ramsfan, that's funny. I have read the press release and everything else out there that mentions a patented engine placement. Talk is cheap. You eluded to having real, verifiable information as to the specifics of the patent. Fact is, I guess, you simply don't. But, you choose to make a statement as if you are someone inside the loop of the Polaris knowings. Re-posting that press release is laughable.

Plain and simple: If there has been a patent issued, it should be available to read. As I said, I might have over-looked it and can't find it. It also might be that Polaris has heard the patent has met approval and that the patent will be issued shortly, but just hasn't been released yet. Or, it could very well be that the patent is pending, which would make all the press release info erroneous, at least to a degree.

the patent is the clutch patent. they patented how the clutch is oriented and used in that application. you can't patent the position of the motor in the chassis..

Most delays in releasing anything new has more to do with the patents and patent research then issues with the machines themselves. Just try to get any manufacturer to admit that tho. lol.

ok mister patent expert beings you know so much please explain to me where in this sentence I claimed to be an expert and gave you this impression (You eluded to having real, verifiable information)

actually the patent is more on the style and placement of the engine and transmission
and I have said a few times on here as well as many other sites that this is what I am being told by those in the know, now if you are so stuck on proof then why dont you call Polaris up themselves and get off this kick like you are a petent expert or something. I dont care if they have one or not that isnt as important as them having something out there that works.

as if the RZR needs the patent to be something worth driving, give me a break, either you want it or you dont who cares about the patent(except for you) LOL
