I don't think so. NAFTA would take care of that. As for the luxery tax, this is a Polaris, not a Porsha??.

All this talk is nice but, why do we Canadians have to pay $4000.00 more for this rig then our friends in the US?? The exchange rate is around 18 % right now, so WTF???

ramsfan, that's funny. I have read the press release and everything else out there that mentions a patented engine placement. Talk is cheap. You eluded to having real, verifiable information as to the specifics of the patent. Fact is, I guess, you simply don't. But, you choose to make a statement as if you are someone inside the loop of the Polaris knowings. Re-posting that press release is laughable.
Plain and simple: If there has been a patent issued, it should be available to read. As I said, I might have over-looked it and can't find it. It also might be that Polaris has heard the patent has met approval and that the patent will be issued shortly, but just hasn't been released yet. Or, it could very well be that the patent is pending, which would make all the press release info erroneous, at least to a degree.

the patent is the clutch patent. they patented how the clutch is oriented and used in that application. you can't patent the position of the motor in the chassis..

Most delays in releasing anything new has more to do with the patents and patent research then issues with the machines themselves. Just try to get any manufacturer to admit that tho. lol.
