clutch kit

Default clutch kit

ok guys i know this has prob been talked about a lot but....i have a basically stock 1999 scrambler 400 accept with a fmf pipe...my acceleration on WOT seems like it slips and lags my chain is tensioned right but i was wondering if it could possibly be a belt issue or clutch...would yall suggest buying a clutch kit? and if i do so do i need a new belt or anything else....also i am thinking about the RCR performance stage 1 would i need anything else to go with this...by the way im not to mechanically inclined any help would be wonderful..thanks again

most likey the clutches could be cleaned and sounds like it could use a new belt.

stendori is correct , sound like a clutch issue or a belt.. give the primary clutch and weights a good cleaning and replace the belt and go from there... stendori is VERY good at this kind of thing..

When you add a pipe to a 2stroke polaris you need to reclutch to the rpm of the pipe.
Either get the RcR Stage one kit with pipe and everything and ditch the FMF or try a brown primary spring and a HPD violet secondary with the FMF with stock weights.This may help but wont be on the money
