After seeing this post I went looking myself. The address is:
http://www.polarisindustries.com/pro...ipType=manuals

I'd have to say that I'm very impressed. I would like to see other mfg's do this.

I work for a digital printing company, I downloaded mine, printed it out, laminated it and then bound it with the plactic type binders and put on clear front and back covers. Now i can have it right by me in the shop and wipe off the grease from handling it whit grimey hands.

Now If someone had an manuel for me to "borrow" explaining service on machines, like what when where and how etc, better than the book that comes with them, I would be willing to print out a breakdown manuel like mine for them.?

My dealer said the shop manual is $200. Nice guy but I don't think he wants to give away the family secrets. What is the P/N for the '01 500HO manual?
Thanks

al

Duneman, that part no. is 9915083. This is the '99 manual though and I notice you have a '00.
I don't know what changed between '99 & '00 models but just wanted you to realize this manual doesn't cover '00 models. If you have a nineties model though it covers them top to bottom.

Hay guys,
I just looked at the parts number that I have for the 500 Sportsman. The number that is on the cover is 9915480 and this is for the 2000 model. I am going to e-mail Polaris Industries this coming week to find out when they will be putting the 2001 HO parts manual out. If any body knows the answer to this please post it and it will save the time.

Does anyone know the part # for an Xplorer repair manual? I have an older Clymer's manual, but it doesn't cover the Concentric drive system.

Thanks Crawdad. I will check out the '00 thing. It just sounds like the manual to have.

I have a Clymer manual for all models to 1985. I would be willing to part with it if I could find a repair manual that dealt with the newer models with concentric drive, specifically the 400 Xplorer.
I talked to my dealer and they won't sell one because of a pending lawsuit (some idiot got a manual from them, put something together wrong, and is blaming them for not knowing better than selling a manual to an idiot with a lawyer for a brother or brother in law).
If you know where I could get one, my Clymer will be up for grabs.
