And you can forget a true 800 for 08, it will still be the 760cc. But I hear it will be lighter, thus feel more powerful.

All I know right now, the Scrambler is very secretive. So it either won't be back, or big changes. And I would believe the latter now with the Renegade 500 out. So I would expect or might I say, expect big changes for the Scrambler for 08.

On a side note, the Hawkeye will no longer be called that, it will be a SP300. I believe this is due as all the Sportsman will have the same style suspension as the Hawkeye or X2 quads, thus all being Sportsmans.

I admit I have never rode a bike with power steering yet, but don't see what the big draw is. I was lost last weekend and darn near ran out of gas. Was a 100 mile ride when the day was over (we brought a five gallon can and split it between three of us). Had fallen trees blocking the roads. It was a real adventure. Off topic, but I have found some shovels you can buy have a little saw blade in them. Quite handy for those fallen trees. We just sawed the branches off and rode under the tree. Anyway, what I was going to say is even after a all day 100 mile ride, I still didn't see the need for power steering. I'm riding a 800 too. Which is like...what 800 lbs?

As far as the 08s, I just wish we would see less plastic.

GE4X4, I hope you're right. I would hate to see the Scrambler go away forever. Also, any mag articles where they test out the scrambler lately, they mention how out of date it is. My new ATVSport magazine had a right up on the Renegade 500 and that it's supposed to compete against the Wolverine 450 and the Scrambler 500 and that the Scrambler needs updating. If the dealer show starts the 21st, then the website should be updated on the 21st w/ all the new stuff. Also, don't be surprised to see some kind of teaser on the Polaris Website starting the Monday right before they release, the last few years they've had one. Can't wait!!

I wonder if Polaris will have a machine to compete with the new AC thundercat. Its hard to believe that they would want not want to have a 1000cc machine. Im sure that Can-Am will have one out soon. Its all about keeping up with the Jones's

Wait until you do. It's the real deal and it isn't just some gimmick. I couldn't fathom the reason why it would be needed on an ATV and thought the idea was frankly silly - until I rode a Grizzly with it. It makes a difference. A noticeable and welcome one once you try it. I hope Polaris adds it as soon as possible.

I am a real Polaris fan and as a fan I don't want to see my team playing "catch up". I am praying for a
2008 POLARIS SPORTSMAN 1100!
Let them play "catch up"
