Default Sportsman Speedometer

Why would the speedometer quit working with changing out the starter??
Is there a fuse or something that could have blown somewhere??

Your reply will be greatly appreciated....

i wouldnt think it would have any thing to do w/ it. is it the old style w/ a cable or it must be the plug in sensor type. didnt short any hot wires by chance. just a guess.
