That seems like a really long time. But if you look at auto oils, some say they are good for 8000 to 12000 miles. Now thats a long time between oil changes LOL

Default 2w-50 oil??

Yes my Sportsman calls for 0W40 oil. The low number in this case 0 means the oil behaves like a 0 weight oil at very cold temperatures while at high temperatures it behaves like a 40 weight oil. So at very cold temperatures a 0w oil will flow better than for example a 2w or 5w oil. At the other end of the scale in very high temperatures, like these motors put out in hot weather, a 50 weight oil will give more protection than a 40 weight oil. I know what you mean stendori the 2W oil is not as popular as the other oils....

Hey Congrats Stendori, I didn't know you were looking to trade up? PICS look good.
Yea I am calling my dealer on Monday, I got the prices, still can't decide if I want that
"Touring" or just the 800 Dlx, or maybe the new 700 X2. Man I can't decide. I think it
is stupid that Polaris made the Touring models not to be able to fold or remove the secondary
seat back. - Just my opinion. But for me I want to check it all out myself cuz pictures and
specs from the internet just doesn't do it justice.

Keep ya posted, hopefully I will have my new 800 Pics to post up here in a few weeks.
Enjoy your ride, let us know how it compares to the older models!

Thx,

R'
