That's for sure. I just wish more people would use the safety gear. We have 4 small bikes down in our place in Cabo San Lucas and I have to say we are very remiss in using the proper gear. The weather is so nice all the time that we end up riding in flip flops and bathing suits. the trails are in the mountains but are not rough. Biggest safety issue is the wash outs that occassionally happen because of the rains in the rainy season. This is the absolute tip of the Baja Peninsula so it is mostly sand over some type of lime stone that can get washed away with the heavy rain. It is the most beautiful place I have been on earth though. Being able to ride there just feels so much safer than the riding I do in Hurley Wisconsin. I guess it is all riding with the family too, so we tend to keep it pretty tame unless we are running the dry river beds.
