trailboss 250 grinding sound?
yet another problem with my 4 wheeler. it seems like right when i get one fixed another one happens. well i have a trailboss 250 with the automatic variable transmision, and i figured out the other day that when the 4 wheeler gets hot (after about half-hour of riding). it starts to make a grinding noise and its only when im in drive and pushing on the throttole. it really dosent matter how fast im going but im estimating that it grinds about every 2 revolutions of the tires. the noise is preaty quiet you can only hear it if you are riding on the atv, it also vibrates, not the handle bars, but the seat mostly. its hard to tell where the sound is coming from. so if anybody knows somthing that i could check, or if they have any questions. that would be great.
thanks,

This machine is chain driven isn't it? Check the eccentrics that drive the chains, there are grease zerks on them for the bearings thatare in them, I had the bearings go bad in the center eccentric and made the noise like you discribe.</end quote></div>
yes it is. i greased all of the zerkes and oil'd the chain. and it still made the noise when it got hot. why does it only make the sound when it's hot? i forgot to mention that i had just tighted the chain i checked and there is pleanty of travel in the chain so i dont think it's that. by the center eccentric do you mean the thing in the center of the rear axile that the tow hitch mounts to?
thanks,
