if we cant afford the gas for it we shouldnt either have them or just do cut back on the riding time.
That is so true, stendori, although even if some people can afford the gas, the price takes away some of the fun factor.
We're going for a motorcycle ride this morning down to the casino. About a 100 mile round trip. Even though it's premium gas, it will cost about $12 for the ride.
AND thinking positive, if we win, I'll buy everyone breakfast.

Hey Doc, I knew a handout would make you come out of hiding. We saved you a seat at breakfast but you would have had to pay for your own. We contributed more money at the casino.
I'm not sure if we're actually saving money riding the motorcycle since we drive to so many more places now and taking the Blue Rocket Express into triple digit speeds makes the instant mpg indicator go down to zero.
But it sure was fun.

It isnt so much the price of fuel, or the insurance, and lets throw in the registration cost that has me thinking about getting out of the sport...Its just that I live in an area where I used to be able to go hundreds of miles in any direction without even seeing another ATV all day long.....and now, the lumber company has made it illegal to leave my driveway or I will be summoned to pay a stiff fine and perhaps have my ATV confiscated!!!!! Maine, supposibly labeled, (Vacationland), has allowed these companies to shut off a lot of the recreation lands just because they can. No amount of lobbying by our ATV club has produced any positive results. Its depressing..... I know, I know!! it's their land and they can do with it what they like, but it still sucks.....
