BELT BLOWIN UP!

hey all
i'm new and i've got a post already [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] haha
my 04 polaris 700EFI it has a 2.5" lift 28" mud lites and blows belts ALOT!! it has the clutch kit for bigger tires installed. i've owned it for a year and a half and have replaced the belt 7 times. is there anything out there that might help me out.. or maybe an adjustment i can make to help me out.

Welcome to the forum. Did you check front engine mount to make sure it wasn't broke? Also check to make sure clutches are aligned. Did you make sure the EBS bushing in the primary isn't worn out? Does the bike creep ahead while in gear? Just a few things to check.

easiest way to align clutches is to take the bolt out of the secondary clutch and slide the secondary back and forth on tranny shaft and spin it backwards in neutral, wherever it spins easiest, that is where it wants to ride, add or take away shims in the back

it could mean a few things such as the belt shrunk(but not likely), ebs bushing is worn out,washer in the primary clutch beside the ebs bushing work out or the clutch is out of alignment maybe becasue of broken engine mount. imo.
