Default Need higher rate springs for rear of Sportsman

The rideing we do down WV is very rocky and i found myself botoming out the rear end alot on rocks. I have the adjusters cranked all the way up. I'm roughly a 300lb guy and when my GF got on the back everyone behind me was enjoying the sparks show. Will a set of x2 springs work on the back since they are designed for 2 riders anyway or are the spring/shock combo completely different. I don't ride 2 people often but the extra spring will help me by myself.

I heard that they work but you can also get a pre-load adjustor and crank up the tension on the stock springs when you ride double. It adjusts from 0 to 1/2" to 1". http://www.purepolaris.com/Det...463(PolarisPGACatalog)

I've looked at those but they will decrease my suspension travel. I need a higher load rated spring.

I would ask your local dealer's technician. The X2 springs are heavier duty and would keep bottoming out at bay. I just don't know if they are the right length, width, etc.

X2 springs won't fit you need to check out EPI for heavy rear springs.

I put mv 700 springs on mine, $30.00 apiece, they were a litte stiff at first but as I ride it they are getting better, and I think the X-2 springs will work but they are only 120 pound springs, your stock ones are 100, you will need some spring compressors to put the mv springs on they are a heavy spring,I like them.
