Can't get rear cv axel out of 1996 sportsman 500 transmission

Can't get rear cv axel out of 1996 sportsman 500 transmission
I have it unbolted, tried using a slide hammer and pry-bar and still can't get either side of the axels out. 1996 never been removed. How can I get these out?

PENETRATING FLUID,HEAT HEAT,HEAT, have someone pry while you jerk in and out HARD! will eventually come out,splines probably rusted with dirt and grime!
