ncriderforks,
As you have had a chance to ride the "XP" quite a bit I was wondering if you could answer a question. With the engine mounted where its at is " hot legs & butt " a problem?</end quote></div>
I'm not ncriderforks but I an tell you that is NOT a problem on the XP, no hint of exhaust heat like the 800 has. I can't speak to engine heat on a real long ride but so far I have felt ZERO on either leg or the butt. You probably can't tell it by the pictures you've seen, but there is a heat sheild with some sort of batting in between it and the pipe. It surrounds the exhaust pipe and header completely(not just one side, 360*), and it runs the entire length to the muffler and works real well. Not to mention the pipe placement isn't as close to your leg.
