Default Speedometer Hall Sensor

If a new hall sensor is needed do you recommend getting a new sensor cap as well? Mine apparently needs sensor as speedometer is not working. All esle as speedometer works except registering the speed. Thanks.

Yes Check the wire fist and clean old senor first. What is a sensor cap? I changed a Hall Effect once and it came with a new wire and senor, all there was needed.

PS my new $80 Canadian senor failed after only a year so I just gave up on it and have no working speedo for two years. I judge my speed by how fast the trees are flying by now.

Depending on model the early sensors didnt have the aluminum cap in front of sensor head. Even when you order sensor, cap not included. I dont replace/order cap, unless damaged!
