Default 2006 Sportsman 500 running bad

mtpockets

my brother and I had a honda 90 & 110 growing up- to them to Rocky Point alot. Should have kept them- they were a hoot!

I rode 'em all growing up- US90, ATC90, Big Red, 250R, 200X !!!! All great machines!!!!
Sometimes I reflect and wonder why I'm riding Polaris now!LOL!

Default 2006 Sportsman 500 running bad

ALL FIXED

It was stupid simple- A piece of the foam around the neck (at the top near the fuel tank) of the air was torn off and logged in the neck, that explains the new foam prefilter.

The way I found it was I ran it w/o the lid to the air box. Ran like a champ.

Im still going to replace the plug wire and battery

Lol over the winter a mouse would have used that as a nest, i was closest of all...

went riding Sat, went through a full tank of gas and it ran great. Didn't miss a beat even up in the mountians.

I'm shocked that your SP500 had issue they seemed to rather sound machines. . .
everyone i been around was beaten high miles and rather old. . .
they always ran great for us. . .

Now the SP600 not so much problem free running. . .
