Hear hear, its to know the reality 100% I reckon unless you have had these tire sets before and exp. them yourself.
I hear great things about the Mudlites as it was one of the TOP tires not "all-be-all"
but even I hear some negative, that it doesn't handle "as well" in the snow and
they get side wall puntures too, even though they are 6-ply. It then there were threads as a shoot outs between
Swamplites and Mudlites neck and neck and then now you hear alot of people claiming that the Swamplite is too soft
a tire.
And then I hear about how the ITP 589s rule the roost and better tire compared to the Mudlites and how they clean
roll the mud better to reduce the "mudball" effect, so then I am hyped on that one setting my sights. Now more recently
I read about all the negatives how it is too much a stiff hard tire and that it is hard to steer.
Some one help me, I am in TIRE research mode too, still leaning toward the MUDLITES XTR though.

Mudlites would be one my last choices, but before the 589's and swamplites. At least the mudlite are actually lightweight until you get to the XTR's. Then you may as well get MST's. Stay with Maxxis, and you won't be sorry. Mudbugs, MST's, and Bighorns are very hard to beat in their own categories.
The only ITP I would take is the TC's, but that's my opinion. They probably do just as good or better than mudlites in the mud.

Yeah R,I hear you........I can only comment on the TC's cause that and stockers are all I've run.I never had a chance to run them in the snow.
Soon I'll know more on the Maxxis BH2's.
Roofer only 26" in the 14" wheel for both the TC's and the BH2's.That is why I also was looking at the 27" XTR.

There isn't a whole lot of advantage in a 14" wheel. I would have 12's if they would fit on the XP.
Ya, the 14's will give less flex, because there is less tire. I like to be able to have the flex in the tire for snow (lower psi). With a radial at the correct psi, you won't have much roll in a 12 or 14" wheel.
