doing doughnuts causing 4wd problems???
#5
if the polaris 4wd works based on the slipping of one front wheel, it would engedge the diff lock. but doughnuts would mean some times you have traction and sometimes you dont, so possibly alot of on/of with the diff lock. this would mean alot of wear i would think.
idk polaris but do doughnuts in 2wd if your worried about that happening

I've done hundreds of donuts on Sportsmans in 4x2 and 4x4. Mostly in 4x4 since it pulls the front end in tighter. No problems so far. I keeps hearing about the hubs engaging in 4x2 and blowing up but haven't had it happen.

if you guys read some of thre post in the past from people that have done the break stands. donuts they have destroyed their roller cage in the fron tend when the front enguaged. its not something that happens to everyone but a few have had this unfortunly happen to them and cost some money to fix. so just be aware that it might happen at high wheel speed while spinning.

Actually if the ATV is in AWD mode you will be fine. Its when your doing donuts in 2wd that if for "some strange reason" the front end engages while the rear is spinning fast the sudden engagement is to much for the plastic roller cage to absorb and it breaks.
If the ATV is in AWD than the rear end will never spin ahead of the front end.
