I need to pull the starter off my Polaris Express 300, anyone got an idea how? I finally found it but can't get to the top bolts. Any help would be appreciated.

I am not 100% sure, but if it is like the 400L 4x4 you need to remove the recoil cover. behind that you will find the flywheel and the starter. grab the end of the starter and pull, this should come right off. then behind that remove two bolts and that should be all that holds it on. That is how I have to remove mine (1996 xplorer 400L). But the express may be different. I will go check and get back to you!

I went to a parts breakdown and it looks like what i said above is close to if not right on the money. The recoil cover will come off and behind that the flywheel and down to the bottom left will be the starter...

Hope this helps!
