Hi just signed up to the forum and have been an observer from time to time.I have an 05 polaris 700 bought it with 800 miles for $7500 and have had it for almost 3 yrs now I would say it is one tough machine! It has gone to hell and back and still keeps on going.I am not the only rider though i share it with my son and it has over 7000 miles on it now.Did a comp.test with both 150, the frame has been cracked and welded, new clutch,3 sets of tires, bushings a dozen or so belts,it has been rolled, kicked, sunk with water and sawdust, stuck in mud up to the tank all from my sons riding, bearings, cracked plastic, wires cracking reconnected as well as any hoses rubbing up against the frame now the top end power is down around 35-40 mph the motor like kicks down like a governor any ideas?

Thanx but i had the spring changed to a stiffer one and changed the weights, i replaced the clutch with a used one that had "low miles" and it was from a 400 polaris but according to my mechanic buddy they are all the same except for the wieghts i guess. Im always changing the oil and add lucas oil products and it seems to keeping the motor etc in good running order, thanx for the advice.
