No I haven't. Here is a picture of one though. It doesn't look like you could fit the rack extender on there with it though.

The one below is mine with the XP box.

Default Back rest to far forward???

Question for people with the back rest that is attatched to the L-N-R- rear box. I had the same set up on my 800 I had. I loved it. If I leaned way back I could rest against it while just cruising down the trails. But if riding aggresivly it was not in my way. But the one I have on my xp seems to be to far forward. When I just get on the machine I am already sitting to far forward for normal driving.. The edge of the back rest covers up at least the back 1/4 of the seat. Is it possible I put it together wrong? Has anybody else had the 88 and the 850 setup to compare the 2? Also just so you know I do have the xp box on my xp and it was the regular one on my 800...

I think the rear cargo box is one of the most UNDER RATED OEM Lock and Ride accessories. By the way it is more bigger then the pictures you see, you can store alot in there, and really weather proof too. I got the side bags pretty cheap and they are great, you could probably put a six pack in one of them (for room size) never tried, I have put several full size bottled waters, keys, wallet and trail maps, straight down pour going thru lots of mud splashes covered head to toe with mud all over and inside dry!

If you want to do the double passenger maybe try the KIMPLEX rear storage fits the rear rack really well, CAPER on here has'em, ask him.

But I really like the rear cargo box with side bags and the rear back rest is SWEET, really gives you the ride comfort and back support!

Extra benefits are I feel it holds you in more and helps with bike handling Vs. impeeding Body English for hills etc. Also, when I took a tumble, it help me from sliding out back end and it took the brunt of the rolls and topping for to protect my rear rack, fender plastic etc. YOU DON'T ever hear about those qualities with the rear cargo box.

Get it you will be happy!
