Several companies make a special tool to take the primary clutch off with.HPD sell's there's for $25 and Aeen sells one for $39.I think that Dennis Kirk sells one also.I've read over on GEN3USA of several people trying to make their own with mixed results.

The only good way is to use the proper puller. Its really being pushed off from the center. Dont wedge or pry on the sheeves. Even with the right puller they sometimes come off hard. Grease the end and the threads when you do use it

Here is a good video on how to do it. I had to pull mine last week and had to go to the dealer to buy the puller. It cost close to $40, but you may be able to find it cheaper online.

thanks guys... would you guys have any suggestions on what to do here....?
bike is pretty much stock, has hot seat pipe and silencer on it and been jetted to pipe with k&n air filter lil mods to air box,... the bike seems weak at take off hardly any torque? will hardly pull front end off the ground? belt slipage? was going start with a new belt but been wanting to look into clutch upgrades... want a good trail riding wheelie king and keep the speed... any suggestions can you just change springs or do you have to have aftermarket clutch for that? any suggestions are well appricated
thanks shaun
