anyone know of any problems with the 03 700 sportsman HO??? I'm lookin at one that i'm intrested in....I had 1 guy tell me that they r junk....i've had a 500 non HO that had 22000 miles on it before she blew...Anyone got some input on the 700's?

 

I would be most worried about the suspension. Check ball joints, wheel bearings, front and rear difs for water, check trans for water, check u joints and cv joints for wear. Ask if carb boot has ever been changed or brake pads replaced.
If it runs good and everything checks out it would probably be a good bike.
I did have a problem with the roll pin on the rear drive shaft on mine worked its way out and wore a hole in trans housing. Was an easy fix, replaced roll pin and sealed up the hole with jb weld and has held real well.

cant remember what year it was that a few had waterpump seal issues maybe 03'?

 

I had an 02 that was absolutely bulletproof! Only reason I sold it was to move up to an 800 efi. Ditto on the previous posts on things to check. Also, if your local dealer has a good service dept. pick their brains on the machine as far as issues they have seen. Good luck!
