Default Gas level indicator binking

I went for my first ride in 4 months and throughout the day my fuel level indicator would periodically flash. Any thoughts on why?

Is the level low?
Mine flashes "FUEL" on the display and the orange Speedo needle also flashes with the tank is low....
No reserve so this is the way to warn you................
Does that answer your question....Hope that helps.......

It had a full tank. I think it may have stopped later in the day. Maybe the sensor just got stuck because it sat for 4 months with very little fuel.
