Default Need new tires for my 850XP, What kind?

Im running a stock suspension and stock wheels, what kind of tires is everyone else runnning? What is my best choice? I want mud/trail tires.

I've been told the Maxxis Mud Bug Radial is the way to go...

Default Tires

I'm partial to the Highlifter Outlaws or Gorilla Silverbacks. Takes some getting used to on the open trail but they are excellent in the mud/snow.

Haven't heard hardly anything on the mudbug radials. Mudbugs are great, radials are great and Maxxis is #1 IMO, so how could it be bad............

Other options are bighorns, zillas.........

Really depends on your terrain. Without spacers of aftermarket wheels you will need to do the sway bar mod.
With aftermarket wheels you will be roughly 53" wide. With spacers on stock wheels it is 51" wide. With the sway bar mod and stock wheels you are at 48" wide.

go to ebay and get your self some 26" zilla's, they will fit stock rims and you wont need to do the swaybar modification.

People up here in New England (hard pack, rocks, waterholes, rocks, mudholes, rocks, and snow) rave about the Mudlite XTRs. I've never heard anyone that disliked them and most said they could go through mudholes in 2wd where they needed 4wd before. When I wear out my stockers, I'm probably going with them.

I'm still trying to wear out my Terriblethons! LOL! Then I'll go ahead and get new ones, probably Bighorn 2's. I hope to get some before winter sets in and I have to start plowing snow!

I also live in New England and would like to purchase some tires (after my stockers wear out) for my machine. I will be looking for a tire light in weight that is good for hard backed dirt/mud and snow.

Guys in the club were saying Big Horns, but I would like opinions on other options like Sportsman 850 XP.

Thanks

I am going to use up my terrathons and then I am putting 26 inch bighorns, same size as stock. I am told you get a decent ride on trail and they are great in the mud. Unless you're doing lots of mud I would stay away from the XTRs. Hear they have a poor ride on dirt.

I would definatly check out the maxxis zilla's, but Tundra, I have to disagree with you on the rough ride, I have stock PXT's, and they are radial like the XTR's, and have a very similar tread patter, and IMO my tires ride very smooth, but everybody has there own opinion

I put 28" Zillas with ITP 312 ss zims and no spacers on my 850 xp eps.I have seen 30" Zillas on ITP rims ,no spacers and no lift kit on a 850 xps. Zillas are one of the litest mud tires, and do they throw mud.
