Arctic Cat VS Polaris, Does anyone know the difference???

I think that the ACs get the worst treatment from the mags. I have seen comments in atv action and Dirt wheels (AKA Honda Wheels) That said the AC 500s shouldn't even be allowed in shootouts with Polaris and Honda. Thats a bunch of bull. I have ridden ACs and I can't seem to find all these supposed shortcommings that the ACs have. I think that these 5.4" 130 lb. Californians that they employ as test riders like to compare utility type quads to their ideal quad which would be a 90 hp.turbocharged Raptor 990 with 3ft. of suspension travel. If in a utility shootout you go looking for sportiness you probably won't find a whole lot to like about the utilities. If I offended any 5.4" California test riders then I apologize.

Gheez....Listen Im a pretty laid back kinda guy. I have never been able to understand why "my quad is better than yours and you should only buy this make or you wont be happy". Wouldnt it be great if there was only 1 quad out there and we all rode the EXACT same quad...NO ! When I ride I dont care if you on a POLARIS, HONDA, AC, whatever lets just ride. It is your money buy what you like and be happy, by the way if there are some of you that hate your quads so much please send me your name and address and I am sure I can find someone that will be very happy to take your problem off your hands. I hate to see people ragging on other machines. Its all good.

Ya know, even when Arctic Cat guys respond to a flame they are pretty calm and matter of fact. LMAO! I visit the Arctic Cat forum frequently but seldom post because there are lots of great 4x4 tips for me to soak up. I can't even remember an Arctic Cat guy starting a flame war or anything and I also agree that Arctic Cat gets absolutely no respect. Even worse than Polaris.
There is nothing wrong with constructive criticism but c'mon....AC is the ugliest ATV? Since when is a utility bike supposed to be purty? LOL

Most of the quads out there are pretty good if you buy the right quad for the purpose intended.
A.C's are mosly utility and with the proven suzuki motors are super reliable its not my type of machine cause I dont need a workhorse. I want fun and for a 215lbs guy into mud rocks and sports I can only use the scrambler 4x4 500 its the only thing out there in my class right now.
As long as your having fun who cares what ye ride.

Best thing about Arctic Cats are the guys that ride them. They are rock -solid utility machines. I had a 500 AutoCat and it was fast, but didn't handle its' speed well. It pushed in the turns,(understeer) making fast riding a real chore. and the semi-independent rear suspension, without a sway bar could get real scary at high speed. It would go 60, and accelerated as fast as an SP. But it would out crawl my H.O. big time. In the really rough big rock stuff it was traction action, with a lower center of gravity and an ability to put that power to the ground, or rocks, way smoother than my H.O. or my SP. But for anything over 10 mph the Polaris is way better, faster, more stabile, much better handling, more fun. If the Sportsman had EFI and weighed 200 lbs less it would be unbeatable.
