Howdy all....OffRoaded....what is the top speed supposed to be in low gear for your 2010 X2....is it a taller gear than the 2009 X2?....I hear that the 09/10 XP's low gear speed is about 36-39 mph tops....Someone may correct me cause I really don't know for a fact....Thanx all...NoJoke

mt - there are two things plugged in there. The black thing on the wall is for the low-voltage landscape lighting. The other thing plugged in is my RoboMow robotic lawn mower (it's a small green thing on the ground next to the ATV [4th pic in my 1st post]) - highly recommended!

Joke - I don't know, and don't believe the manual really says. The dealer told me that unless I'm driving above 40 I should keep it in low at all times to save on the belt wear. Seems to me it would be cheaper to save on the engine wear... I'm not a mechanic by any means though. I don't have my trailer yet, so I haven't been able to take it out beyond a few empty lots next door, and haven't really had it above 5 or so yet. I should be able to tell you in a few weeks though...

cant beat the x2 for what it can do.
2 up riding.
Heavy duty rating on the rear bed/ suspension. (good for trailers with heavy tounge weight)
Dump box (dont use the dump much, but I find the bed space very useful for hauling stuff around)
I have had mine for about 2 years and love the design.

I just bought my 850XP for $8100 out the door! I looked at the X2 and I am soooooooo glad I got the XP. Buy a small dump trailer for the XP, you'll be much happier! IMO
I went to the dealer to buy the 800X2. My wife told me I was nuts if I didn't get the XP. She said just get another one later, the XP is too pretty to pass up!!!! I love my wife, Sometimes...

OffRoaded......looks like you have a "tall" low gear on your 2010 X2.

IDK - I will drive in low when I want to ride one handed with a cold pepsi in the other - or - when my kids are riding for a short cruise with me - or - when I'm plowing or dropping into a mud hole. But, when I'm riding the trail - it's in High...I like the option of popping the front tires up off the ground. The 850XP rides like a 2-stroke - power and torque wise and feels like your riding a snowmachine in powder with a pillow under your ****.
I love Polaris!!!!

$5,599 for a '09 Sportsman 500

Is that for the EFI or carb model?

Thanks,

I tried the dump trailer thing, but the wife complained a lot about the uncomfortable ride back there. She claimed the seating and handholds weren't very good and she was too far away from me to yell at me to slow down. So I finally ended up getting the X2 instead.
