I have a 2002 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO the OEM for the belt is 3211069 my dad has a 2004 Sportsman 500 HO with OEM belt 3211095. I know the 3211095 has a rib back and mine dont but can you interchange them or are they different. I tried a search on here but didnt find anything.

 

it looks like the 3211069 was used up until 02' then the other was used from 03-05 on the 500's so i would say you could use it w/ no issues. the top cogs were to help cooling and reduce heat. imo

 

I just want to make sure, my dad is wanting to change his and I thought if they where the same I try one on mine, after all the problems I have had on the clutching and alignment, even though mine has less than 100 miles on it

 

well if it helps i used a 700 belt on my old 500 years ago and had no issues.check the width and lenght of the belt side by side to be sure.

 

it will work fine i use the 095 belt on my 400 scrambler myself

 

Whats up with the new XP belts? My understanding is they will have a LONGER wear due to their new design Vs. older Sportsmans? Is that true? Is the belt made anymore durable and could they used on our Sportsmans? - Dumb question probably but thought I throw it out there, lol..lol
