Alright, I pulled out the drain plugs yesterday and really nice oil cam out, albeit not much. I drained it, and put in some nice, fresh 10W-40. About the same amount that came out (2-3 tablespoons).

Also, by inspection, the motor mounts look good to me. Seems like its just the clutch covers that are F'ed. Couple of spots where there's holes burned through and the guy only had 2 screws holding the outer cover on. Wasn't even in place properly...

I rebuilt the carb, no nasty surprises there...

Put in a new air filter and ignition switch since the other one was a pain.

So my next big step is checking the oil pump. Is there a good way to check this? I can't believe the oil tank is riveted on preventing the front plastics from coming off BTW! How dumb!

4 to 41/2 ounces of oil in the counterbalancer.

Thanks, I'll have to go put a spec more in I think.
