Hi

I have the above and when I put it in reverse without holding in the override button the engine dies, if I remove the black wire from the speed limiter, as found by searching the forums, it still does the same. Anyone have any ideas?

spme how the override is grounding out to shut down the engine.

 

Any idea which wire it maybe as I have had a multimeter on them all from the gearbox and the switch and they seem fine? I don't have a service manual yet it is on order from Amazon.

After talking to my local Polaris dealer this turned out to be the speedometer at fault, disconnecting the wire to the wheel sensor at the speedometer the problem went away. It seems that if the speedo is fitted it controls the reverse speed, mine had got moisture in and the speed reading fluctuated a lot which made it think it was going to fast in reverse.
