?? HPD or AAen ?? Roller Clutch
#11
Well everyone,
I ordered the HPD roller clutch today. Talking with Mike there i do not have to change any springs or settings since i already have the HPD-ATVCK5PH clutch setup.I will have to remove the teflon buttons and do some modifications to the fins on the back of the housing so i am told. I have always gotten very good Tech help when i have called HPD and was assured that there were no problems with any installation of there's.
I probably want get to do any installing untill this weekend due to another Grand-baby is to come tomorrow. As soon as i can get the clutch in i'll be right back here to let all no the out come.
Thanks again Forum

P.S. The Roller was $190.00

The Aaen Roller setup works very well and has for years. We have two and both have not had a problem. Let it be know that there are several "tricks" to properly set up a roller clutch on any atv regardless of whether it's HPD or Aaen. Just because someone sends a bag of part to you does not mean it's going to be installed with the proper amount of tuning to work correctly. Rollers clutches take quite some time to set up and work perfectly. I've seen more rollers taken off because people think that they just install and run. It's not like that at all. Unless you are ready to take the proper steps to tune correctly don't even bother. If you need to know the proper steps to tune, just e-mail me. It's a pre-requisite to have a tach in good working order first.
