When Riding Alone, How Far Do You Go?

i started riding alone a while back cuse i couldnt i find any 1 to ride with, every 1 is always too busy....i have a very reliable kawasaki kfx700,i take a cell phone, gps, food, water, pistol, flash lite, lighter, knife, vhf radio in case the cell phone has no signal.any medications i might need at the time..i always go prepaired just in case something happens and i have 2 spend the night in the woods..i also map out the area im gonna ride in on goggle maps..and i always ride with caution,no racing, stunts etc..

I ride alone a majority of the time because like others say it's hard to find company. As said, ride smart is first and foremost. If it looks like a spot is a little too muddy or if you can't tell for sure how deep a snowdrift is, then just don't do it. Trails here in KS aren't really "deep" so if you got stranded it wouldn't be that long of a walk.

That's a good question. I don't ride alone anymore but I used to ride 50-75 miles by myself. Most of the trails are a loop so I would have to walk half that far if I broke down. I used to carry a spare CVT belt and the tools to change it. I haven't blown a belt in several years and quit carrying one. The only "survival equipment" I carry is a lighter which I used to make a fire when I ran out of gas. Luckily I wasn't alone that time.
