Thinkin bout some new shoes

I'm thinking about getting some new tires for my trailblazer 400. I've done a little research and it's got the same size tires as the Scramblers 400 and 500(atleast up to 2003). So how big have you guys gone up in tire size? I am just wondering how big I can go without any rubbing issues. With it sitting at rest, it looks like I could probably go up to a 24 without any troubles. I only want to know so I can get a larger variety of choices for a little more aggressive tire for playing in the mud (and making it out
). And on a side note, how are the folks with swamplites liking their tires? How are they in the mud, sand, and on hardpack?

Were they predictable in turning? I'm REALLY leaning towards a pair for mine, but I would love to know how they are before I work on explainin to the wife how bad the tires are on the back and how they're dryrotted, splitting, worn out, etc.etc.etc
Are they a comfortable AND capable trail tire?

I'm happy to hear that they rode well on a comparable size machine! I can't say I ride in any one type of terrain more than any other. I usually end up riding hardpack to the sand and more hardpack. Other times I'll ride through sand to mud and back on hardpack. That's why I'm looking to get a smooth riding aggressive tire that works well in most types of terrain. I would like to see what the folks with scramblers have been able to get to as far as tire size as mine is basically the same bike just with only the option of 2wd. If no one says they went larger then I guess I'll go with the 22x11x10 in the swamplites unless somebody has a better ALL-around tire or has gone to a larger size on theirs. I would like to get a little more ground clearance, but if the difference in traction is substantial enough then I may not need it.

Ahh I see. Did they seem to be a big improvement over the factory tires? or whatever you had on it before the swamplites? I do miles of trail riding along with some sand and riding down the dirt roads around here and some mud about twice a month. They look like they should do well in all these(except maybe sand) terrains but maybe a little sketchy on sliding around a corner. If everyone is in agreement that it's a great all-around tire i'm gonna start working on the wife for a whole set, even on a 2wd... Can't have mis-matched tires on a machine right?
I would still like to have some input from a scrammy owner that went up in tire size, but I guess I'll keep waiting.
