Default 2008 sportsman 800 dead miss

battery was going bad (replaced). was running fine. its got a dead miss. rode all week ran fine started it uo 2day got a miss. any help on where to start?

May be coincidental but did you check the charging system? 14 volts going back to the battery. Plus it could be a T-bap sensor harness intermittent short,common for efi machines. You might also just take a sample of gas and see if any water settles at the bottom of a clear glass. Had a few like this and would exhibit a dead miss also that you could mistake for an electrical problem. OPT

Default 08 sportsman 800?????

Was running great just replaced battery and now has a dead miss. Gonna check plugs and then to the stealer?????????Low hours and miles........HELP........

Just because you put a new battery in your ATV does not mean that the new battery is 100%. I have seen brand new battery's faulty out of the box so you may want to start there. Also check to make sure that the connections are installed correctly as some of the ATV's have a second wire on the positive post and it gets missed when replacing the battery as it is hidden under the plastic proctector.

as stated, check the vlotage out put to see if it's at least in the 13.5+ range.

Exclamation Thanks to all 4 the replys & help!!!!!

It was the sparkplugs?? I replaced them last year guess may be the gas we are getting now.... Thanks for all the replys and help!!!!!!

Yes NGK plugs..$8.49 a each... OUCH !!!
