Default 00 trail boss 325 chain ?

hey all, first post here!

so i just purchased a TB325 and it is in excellent shape, but i noticed the chain had more play in it than it should have(which i will be taking care of tomorrow)...it rips around just fine but i hammered down a few times to see what kind of top speed she has and when getting up around top speed i notice some vibration...is this normal? or do u think its the sloppy chain?....either way i'll find out tomorrow when i tighten the chain but any input would be appreciated, thanx

You want to check all the orings on the chain and make sure they're good too.

If that's the original chain, I'd say replace it. Check the sprockets for wear too. I got a whole set (both sprockets and new chain) on ebay for a pretty good price. Sledpartsguy was the seller and I know a few others on the forums have bought parts from him in the past with no issues.

And welcome to the forums.

If you haven't adjusted the chain on a tboss before, it's pretty simple, but you need to loosen the rear caliper bolts too.

I've got it in print, and somewhere I may have the disc I got that from. I can check tonight and see.

No problems. Had mine for years and was a tough little machine.
