Looking at a 2009 sportsman 800 with tow package? What is the tow package?

No such thing as far as I know.

 

Those were my thoughts. I am thinking maybe he means it has a reciever on it or a trailer ball already installed? I have seen it in two different adds.

yep- that's about it.

unless the dealer installed HD springs & sway bar kit- and he's calling it a "tow" package.

 

It probably just means it has a receiver hitch. Most likely the smaller 1-1/4" box receiver that Polaris puts on their machines.

 

Just sounds like a sales gimmick to me, make somebody think they are getting something extra when they buy this one instead of that one kinda deal.

 

Spoke to a dealer today and sure enough it refers to the reciever hitch on the back. WHAT A PACKAGE!!! you would think it has special gearing for towing on the highway like my Tundra by the way they mention that as a big deal in the decision making process

 

It s handy to do a quick ball size change from 1-7/8th to 2" without tools.
