Did you check the air filter?? Also, are you running a K&N filter?? If you are using a K&N, you must run it dry, without oil, for the winter. The oil gets too stiff in the winter to allow good air flow. Once the machine warms up and the oil as well, then you start to get good air flow. As already stated, Polaris machines do need some babysitting to keep running when it gets cold out.

 

i looked at it and i think its a stock filter, its just a plain white one

 

Mine was better when I made the plug change.

 

do you know the NGK plug number for an 05 sportsman 500?

 

NGK BKR6E. 2001 models and up gap at .036
