2005 Sportsman 500H.O sputters until warmed up

Did you check the air filter?? Also, are you running a K&N filter?? If you are using a K&N, you must run it dry, without oil, for the winter. The oil gets too stiff in the winter to allow good air flow. Once the machine warms up and the oil as well, then you start to get good air flow. As already stated, Polaris machines do need some babysitting to keep running when it gets cold out.
