2001 Polaris scrambler won't idle

would this be the same carb as the sportsman 500 in 01? anyone ever try drilling the slide out? this is the first ive heard of this

Basically the same carb as the Sportsman. Complete carb #'s are different mainly because of jetting differences. Sportsman has a 152.5 main jet,the Scrambler has a 155. Both carbs use a 40 pilot jet. Usually slides are drilled out when you install kits like Dyna jet. All this does is give the diaphragm a little more vacuum lift. Usually a small drill bit is supplied in the kits designed for this.
