ok, however if I remember correctly, when I put the meter on the red/white at the ignition switch, I did not receive any voltage when turning the key. The battery sits at 11.9V without the key being turned.

Turn the key to start from on position and see if power jumps then to the red/white wire. If not you're problem is else where in the wiring harness..

no check the 2 wires that lead into the starter switch itself ( not the keyed main power switch ) the starter switch on the handle bar
there should be 2 wires into the yellow starter switch ( handlebar )
1 power feed wire in , 1 red/white power feed wire out to starter solenoid
check the other colour wire ( not the red/white one ) for input voltage
if the that wire does not show voltage present , then that is the wire you need to trace back to the fuse panel

Hey guys, I am happy to tell you that I found the problem. I tore all the plastics off again to follow the wires from the solenoid into the main harness. I pulled all the tubing off and the electrical tape on the harness and made my way to the pod. Well stupid me, I should have started at the pod first because I found three broken wire about six inches from the ignition swich. I mended the wires with waterproof splices, and she started right up. I re-wrapped al the wire and put it back together and went on a ride. Thank you everyone for your help!
