06 Polaris Hawkey 2x4 300 clutch noise
#11
The bearing that i replaced in my 06 hawkeye is in the drive clutch area of the cover and supports the end of clutch shaft. As for the clutch weights they are about 5-6 bucks each and you will need 8 of them. I got mine at 2 wheel pros online they aint in no hurry but i got factory parts and the right parts the first time. And there blow up of the clutch will give you options on red or yellow w/part no#s Part no# will depend on what altitude you will do most of your riding at......if you are at 6000ft or above you will want high alt. 12 gram red....Below 6000ft 14 gram yellow which is stock in most cases. there is also a white set but i have not seen many apps. for those. And the hardest part of getting the clutch off is removing the bolt imo. There is a couple of special tools made for doing this. One fits thru the clutch face and holds it together once the belt is off so the clutch does not open up and let the weights fall out. But i found that if you leave the belt on the drive clutch while removing it it keeps it in tact. And the other tool is a clutch puller for this type of clutch. (sold on ebay cheap) but a standerd pully puller will work if you are slow and careful. When putting the weights back in there will be one side of the roller weight with color and one without the color when looking down at the clutch color faces right or rear of the bike.........
