I have a 2005 Polaris Sportsman 700 (Non EFI, not sure if that makes a difference) and my rear differential took a dump on me. What all years/sizes share this same differential as mine? I have found a 2002 Sportsman 500 and just curious if the rear differential out of it is the same. Thanks everyone.

 

Sportsman 500 is different as the diff is incorporated in the transmission. Yours has a separate rear diff and gear case. Several models show to use the same rear diff.

Located a rear differential out of a Sportsman that’s the generation right before mine. Square headlights style. The rear differential looks identical to the one in my 2005. Will it work? Guy told me he thinks it is 2” shorter. Any info is greatly appreciated!
