bypass micro switch

 

looking for information on how to bypass the shifter microswitch

 

What are you trying accomplish? Do you to trick the machine into thinking it is in forward all the time? So the AWD will still work? I can look at a manual Monday and tell you how, but don't recall off the top of my head.

Both 1998 400 and 500 scramblers - Jumper the red/white to the grey/white wire at the gear selector switch and the unit will "Think" its in forward at ALL times. Friendly reminder- reverse limiter will no longer function so it will go very fast in reverse after you do this.

Unplug it and jumper the "Harness" side, not the switch side and you should be good to go. Switch is in the shifter assembly, just follow the wires to the harness.
