I think this is the biggest topic as far as some actual content is concerned.

An update to the monster thread...
My Red 2001 SP500 HO has 450 trouble free miles
on it. It has been a joy to use. I was in snow and
crud this weekend on the Idaho/Nevada border near Jackpot,
Nevada. The Polaris ran like a dream, as usual. We are
awaiting some dry and warm weather to get out for some longer rides.
I hope you are all keeping the wheels rolling- no matter what you ride!!!
The most important thing is to get your *** out there and do it.

Update again: I am hauling the SP500 around in the
damn ***** F-150. I am upgrading VERY soon to a new
Silverado HD2500- will get another 4-door-I really miss the
F-350 and need to get back to a real truck. The F150 has
been trouble free, but just too wimpy... I want a real truck
again.
I wish I knew more about the Duramax diesel...ANY COMMENTS?????
Anyone have one with a real owners report???

Default AC500 AUTO vs. SP500

This is now a history of the forum, many machine upgrades,
and how far we have come. The Cat has dropped by the wayside.
Isn't it interesting that for many folks: The SP 500- (now HO) is
STILL THE BEST CHOICE AVAILABLE. How many posts have we seen
about riders who bought other machines (many larger:600,650,700)
only to return to the famous and still kicking *** Sportsman 500.
I am thrilled with my new Spruce special edition 500. It would be nice
to hear from some of the missing voices from the past who are well
represented in this thread.

Pics of the new truck and new SP 500 here:

evensen, check-out these Duramax websites. i bought a new one in '02. the duramax is a quiet, powerhouse. and the heat works well even in the extreme cold.
my other diesel i bought new in '95, a dodge with a cummins. good engine, but lots of probs with the rest of the truck.

I looked long and hard at the Duramax. The choice came
down to liking my Ford dealer better... they take very good
care of me because I have bought so many trucks there.
The Chevy dealer did not want to deal very much on the
diesels in stock.
How do like the 700? Please tell us all about it!

i've owned 3 700s so far:
'02 spruce, early '03 black/silver, and now the '03 Mossy-Oak.

the only problem i ever had was the water pump issue on the first two.(spruce and black/sil) when the dealer got the kits in, they fixed them on the first visit. no problems since.

the Mossy-Oak caught my eye on the dealer's showroom. just had to have it! LOL i installed Warns new 2.5ci and a Moose 60" County blade. been plowing BIG snow all winter. the power, traction, ease of shifting (in-line feature), reliability have all been top-notch! no problems to date.

tha,tha,that's all folks!
