Bypassing the override button on the older circut board models.. (like 97 and older) is easy to do.
I did my Scrambler so that you have full power AND AWD without pushing the little yellow button.
Besides, I kept getting mud in the override switch and it would stop working... hehehe FIXED THAT!!...
I know Adam switched his Scrambler so that there was no override needed for full power, but he says that he still has to push the button for AWD in reverse... anybody got a fix for this?

I used to put the light switch in the middle position until the battery shorted. It is to hard on the chargeing system to run all of the lights at the same time. As far as the override goes I think it is a good feature for safety. The AWD not kicking in right away I guess I just use low and it works great. Can't wait for snow.

I would like Polaris to use the Scrambler 500 engine set up in all the 500cc bikes and improve on the air box and snorkles.
My SP-500 will not run without the airbox cover/snorkle on it, seems to me that this may cause a loss of top end performance.
I have read one post and heard about another person losing engines due to leaks in the air filtering system.

The alternator on the Sportsman is plenty big enough to power all the lights at the same time. I put the light switch in the middle of our 97, but I don't know if the newly designed switches stay put when in the middle between low and high? Also, how about a 500 Xpedition?

A 500 xpedition? Boy, what a machine that would be! They made a 325 xpedition instead.

I would like the new 4x4s to have AWD the moment the button is pressed. Also, I would like for some of the bigger Polaris 4x4s to have a super-low gear selection,in addition to the Hi and low gear options.

I would like to see a pipe like shield about 1 1/2 inches by 2 or so long welded over the valve stems on each tire. The other day on a newly cut trail of mine, a downed pine sapling slipped up around my wheel and slit the rear valve stem. By the time I got to the house I was riding on the rim.

Maybe that's something all the manufacterers could improve.
