Get your electric drill out and *make* the holes line up. Been-there-done-that. It's really pathetic that the factory mounting kit really doesn't fit, but that's the way it is. I had the same problem when I installed my winch and I checked with the dealer about it. They are all like that. ![Frown](https://atvconnection.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)

I checked with the dealer and he thought I didn't know what I was talking about at first, but convinced him to make a phone call and he called me back and admitted he was wrong and that there is a special winch kit to use when using the tube bumper. He offered to order it and let me swipe the winch bracket out of it when it came in. I was in a hurry as usual and decide to modify the bracket I had. I heated up the bracket where the fair lead bolts on and bent it out flat so it would clear the tube bumper and the holes lined up.

I sent you a pic from this link. You can hook a tree saver llike a short tow strap) around a tree (or a chain). The hook is attached to the strap and the winch line is looped around the pulley and attached back to your atv. This doubles the pulling power of your winch and slows the speed of the line pull by 1/2.

A ****** block is a pulley. I bought a special kind of ****** block at fleetfarm. It has a hook on it just like the hook on my atv winch. It has a pin to pull out to remove the hook. then put the winch cable through it. Then reattach the hook. I can attach a rope or cable around a tree. Hook this ******
block to it. Then hook the atv winch back to atv like above story. With that pulley. You have twice the power. Slick setup. I also carry come-a-long winch as a spare for what ever reason I might need it.
