Yes, I blew my drive clutch on a 2000 SP 500, modded with spring and weights from AAEN. Got the EBS, 27" Tri Claws, HL lifted, AAEN pipe, and need a good clutch. In Canada the Polaris clutch, stock is 400US, would like a roller if possible. Need input from you clutch experts, so lemmee know what is best thing to do.

I have the HPD roller on a modded sport and so far it has been perfect.

If you have the roller from HPD on your sport, is it compatible with EBS? And what are we talking in the way of cost? Are you talking Sportsman like me? hopefully?

Forgot to ask you Ronnnn, does HPD have a web site, or where can I get ahold of them. Also tried Ritter, but as of yet have not gotten a reply. What about Jack Schultz?

If you tried to Email Rick Ritter you are going about it the wrong way give him a call 618-644-3211, he is more of a phone type person. IMHO you cant go wrong with Rick great coustomer service, and all around great guy.

The roller clutch is for the secondary/driven pulley. I believe you mentioned that you blew the drive clutch.

Hey ya'll my 2000 SP 500 has started creepin, my question is would this be worth the $ since I have to take the driven clutch off anyway? I was also considering the shift drum from HPD, any thoughts? Basically all I want is better clutch engagement for hills, trails and mud.

I had the mods from AAEN, weights and spring on drive clutch, and their pipe. After 1500 miles, the weight anchoring holes were oblong, and the pins were severely worn. Caused the clutch to blow up! I will be sending the defective clutch and their parts back to them for their analysis. Amazing destruction for a short lifespan, and expensive too, regular riding, alot (1500 miles in one year) When everything works, you're happy as heck, until something goes wrong, then the noise starts happenning. Good thing I didn't buy any parts from K-mart right? but it works now, back to stock clutch, stock belt, but still piped and lifted and 27" tires. Dealer said that the added weight and rotational energy required by the big rubber caused excessive stress on the clutch, but I don't get that technical, I just want a quad I can ride and be happy on, that just don't break down.
