kenboo,
I like my Scrambler a lot. The 4x4 is awesome!! I wouldn't get rid of for anything less than a Sportsman 700. I purchased my Raptor to do more track riding and a little jumping. The right tool for the job I always say. But the Scrambler 4x4 is like having a Swiss Army Knife. It will go anywhere and do anything (almost). You won't find yourself having to ride around things like you have been on your Raptor. It is also an incredible hill climber.
Go for it, I wouldn't discourage anyone to buy a Scrambler. I would go for the four stroke myself. But if you are going to want to hop it up, you may want to get the 400cc. I rode a 2000 Scrambler 400 with the full Hot Seat performance kit and it was a rocket. They had to put an 8" extended swingarm on it and they could still wheelie it.
If you just want to buy it and ride it, get the Scrambler 500 4x4. It is a complete bike. There is very little that you will need or want to do to it.
