I have a 2001 trailblazer and i need to know if there is a transmission drain plug, the fluid looks like a white pink color. Also, i had a topic earlier on cutting off in water, has anyone ever ran a hose or line from the air box lid to above the handlebars, i have driven in water almost over the headlight and it killed the engine, the time it got deep, so i think it sucked water in the intake, anyways, thanks for any opinions and help,

byron

also, the same spot my polaris cut off a recon and a bear tracker went right through after i got out

Not to blow you off or anything, but picking up a maint. manual for your quad will show you all the drains and their locations. Unless it has changed, the trans drain is at the left rear of the trans (viewed like you're sitting on the quad). It also doubles as the torque-stop. It's a bolt with a jam-nut sticking out. After you've drained the trans, reinstall the bolt and nut, back the bolt out until it contacts the frame, then out an additional 1/2 turn. Tighten the nut while holding the bolt.

Good Luck,
Ken

Does anyone make a snorkel for a trailblazer, and will it hurt to plug off any carb drain lines, thanks

Just jack it up on some stands and look for the plug. There should be a hole in the frame where you can get to it. If your tranny oil is a whitish pink color then you have water in it, which means flush it out immediately and put some new. Tranny fluid is a dark purple color when it comes from the bottle. Also, grease your atv up too, because if water got in your tranny its everywhere. If you push out grey or light brown then you need to push it out until you get the normal dark color.

Actually on that trans, the plug is easily accessible while the quad is level on the ground.
