I noticed black oil of some sort on the inside of the front tire coming from someplace on the strut housing. I am not sure if it is hub oil or CV joint grease that is just very thin. Are there seals on the bottom of the hub that could leak?

I see a little grease on the cv boots, but not sure if it is from the outside from me greasing the lower ball joint or if it is seeping out. This has created a little puddle under the tire. I am going to check the hub oil, first, to see if I am loosing any. If not, then I suppose I will be replacing the CV boot.

I looked at the Gorilla ones mentioned on another post about boots, but not ready to spend $50 per boot right now, unless the normal ones are really expensive, too. Anyone recommend another aftermarket source or should I stick with dealer boots?

Thanks,
SnowDrift
