Ken, will this improve performance? Like I said earlier, I don't think I am lacking performance. I was just wondering if it will make a differnece

I have to wonder if you know what we are talking about, If you didnt wind the clutch sheave 1/3 turn on assembly you would know it. The bike would shift into high gear right away and you would have terible acceleration (VERY BAD).
TRUST ME, YOU WOULD KNOW, I MADE THIS MISTAKE ONCE, What a $H!ttY weekend that was.

After replaceing your buttons
You put your spring in the specific spring hole positions on the sheave and helix(drum)
you then pushed the helix down (Aligning block tooth)onto the bottom sheave shaft.
Before pressing the helix all the way down into the clutch you must turn the center portion of the sheave 1/3 turn counterclock wise, then push the helix on down, and last Install snap ring.

If you did not do this, YES you will loose performance.

I know what you are talking about. I replaced the clutch buttons, put the spring in the proper hole, I just don't remember turning it a 1/3. I don't think I am loosing performance. It runs great. I will pull it apart and make sure I did it right though. It is simple enough. I already have it out anyways because I pulled my tranny out to fix my reverse gear.

Ken, wouldnt that be robbing the cradle for an old man? You just have to step up to your own age group like Madonna or something. LOL. I am leaving tommorrow for Lil Sahara to kick butt. Hope to see someone there.Bubba

Trust me Bubba, this broken foot thing has REALLY made me slow. Gotta get ready for hockey....gonna be painful. Jtrundle, did you get it figured out? I don't like to post much when lack of sleep is against me.

I haven't got my tranny back from the Polaris dealer yet. My input shaft is on backorder and won't be in until Tuesday. Then I'll take the secondary clutch apart and wind it.
